WELL....Phew what can i say.

This will be my last post for a couple of weeks.....work has to be done....But...ahhh. i can not believe what a fab season that was. How can it have been cancelled after such a strong season.

These are my thoughts on some of the episodes.

Storm Front 1+2... not to keen, but ok.
Home...Excellent, but just wanted to bang Trip and T'pols heads together.
The Soong trio....Fab to see Brent Spiner again.
The Forge, Etc....Great Vulcan story....not enough Trip.
Daedalus...Ok
Observer effect....Well what can i say, i love the ship based episodes and Trip and Hoshi together is good.
The Romulan ones....Brill story, love the Romies and the end scene between Trip and Malcom is priceless.
The Klingon Augments.......Good story.....Bloody hell Trip say whats on your mind !
Bound......good fun,
In a mirror 1+2.......Loved seeing the old [new ?] brigde etc.
Demons....Terra Prime.....AGGHH, so so sad, what else can i say.... the last scens with Trip and T'pol was so heart breaking, but would have seemed hopeful....if......they had not bloody killed him off in the next sodding episode.

The stories were so strong and far more deeply effective by having alot of them over a number of episodes. Paramount were bloody foolish to cancel the show.

Some of the extras were so sad to watch, and hearing all the actors talk about their affection for the show brought tears to my eyes. They all obviously loved making it and it must have been really hard for all the crew as well as the cast when it ended.

They have to make an Enterprise film !

Yeah, there are people out here.    Just that, like you, there seems to be too much to do at work!

I think you're right - Season 4 is by far the best.  Just remember - six years were supposed to have passed between Terra Prime and *the last one*

Don't talk to me about work...just too busy.  I came home last night to find a message on the answering machine saying..."are you still alive?...been trying to contact you".  I sometimes wonder if my clients expect me to come down on a bright, shiny cloud with my hands held high and perform an inordinate amount of flipping miracles.  They pick up the phone and expect you to be there..but done with the gripes for one morning.

Season 4 - yes, 'tis a good season.  Most know me as a season 2 fan, but I love some of the arcs in season 4 such as the augments, the vulcans, and the Romulans.  I particularly like the Vulcan arc - I watch that very often.  I know some on the boards didn't like the 3 parters, but I thought they were good.  Observer Effect is another good one and another favourite for that season.  It would be interesting to have a vote on the best episode and see which comes up top.

My vote for the best season 4 episode would be between Observer Effect, Affliction and Divergence. They're my favourite episodes and ones I could watch anytime.

Observer Effect walks Season 4 as far as I am concerned. Home easily the worst.  Whilst the story of Daedalus plodded a lot I watch this one again frequently as Connor's performance is just outstanding.

Ah, Season 4 - the one that showed us what could have been. That was the Coto Effect. Manny was showrunner and in charge of the writer's room. He came up with the ideas of how to "explain" things for the canon crazed detractors. If only he had been in place from the beginning, B & B might not have driven so many Trek fans away with reused plots and storylines.

I watch Observer Effect the most because I seem to like the bottle shows. I also loved The Aenar episode. (Not the whole arc.) I thought Jhamel was a wonderful character and seeing her with Shran showed us a whole new side of Shran. (Such a great actor!)

I hated the Augment arc, but it was nice to see Dr. Lucas in person. I liked the Vulcan and Klingon arcs the best. John Shuck was fantastic as the Klingon doctor. Daedelus was very disappointing. (Archer was such a jerk in that one!) Terra Prime is painful to watch, but that's what makes it great. The acting was so superb. (I didn't like the guy who played Paxton, though.)

Then to follow that up with the piece of crap written by B & B... well, that just showed how burned out those two were.

If only Manny had been there from the beginning, I truly believe we would have gotten more seasons because more of the Trek faithful would have stuck with it.

After such a great season and so moving a performance regarding baby Elizabeth's death, I was greatly disappointed in Trip's death.  It felt pointless and empty.  If he had died in a more worthy fashion, and the crew had mourned him appropriately, I would have been emotionally involved.  Even leaving the show on a bittersweet note would have been better than what was aired.  It felt like a cop-out.
