I'm too much of a Trip and T'Pol fan - they just played off each other so well which illustrates their individual styles of acting but yet at the same time they gelled so well on screen.  It was unusual perhaps, like Paris and Torres in Voyager, but how many times have you looked at a couple in real life and thought, they really don't look a couple and yet they get along so well.

When I watched the first episode I thought "how clever, Trip and the vulcan alone half-naked in the decon chamber rubbing some gelly substance on each other while arguing about their completely opposite opinions... it's so obvious that they will end up together" which was later confirmed even before the fourth season. They tried to mislead us by showing the affection between her and archer but right from the beginning, it was obvious that the scripters had made their minds about it.

I recall reading in a mag. about around aftrer the second season, when at a converation where Brannamn was asked about any relateshipes aboard the ship.  He did say that if there was any it would be between her and the one that is sitting to her left.  And thens when he smiled and raised his arm.    But it would have been bett if it was Archer'T'Pol.

I don't know Lekha......Archer and T'Pol would have had a different kind of relationship. They always seemed to respect each other too much and you couldn't imagine them having a passionate affair. But Trip and T'Pol had a much more fiery relationship where they argued and teased each other all the time.

Even though I liked it better when Trip was flirting with other women, he was better suited to T'Pol than Archer.

I know that they did and that was part of the attraction they had.  I know that Trip did admit to being in love with her to her Mum.  He also tole her that he always enjoyed arguing with her.  But at the same time, T'Pol/Archer they would have a slightly better (grown up, in a strange way) relateship.

Yes I have always got lost there.  I have never been certain if they had set Trip and T'Pol up from the start or if it was just coincidence. In 'Breaking the Ice', we see T'Pol at the end taking Trip's advice and even eating a serving of Pecan Pie (yummy) which was bit of a teaser for things to come.  I am not sure if it wasn't when Manny Coto came into it who instigated the whole idea of their companionship.

I recall saying in another topic, where I had told someone that if they had watched the show from the start, they would see the stage set for them to reach the point they had.  So, you could say that they had planned it from they start.

I still say Archer/T'Pol & Trip/Hoshi.
