| What kind of roles would you like to see Connor in? He has such an incredible range that it could be fun to suggest things, makeup stories, or picture him in past roles done by other people, for example:
I'd love to see Connor doing comedy.
"Two and a Half Men" - he could be a former wild drinking buddy of Charlie's who has since settled down, gotten married, and has recently become a father. It could be a "middle of the road" character, somewhere between Charlie and Alan. He's not as uptight and anal as Alan, but he now relates to responsibility and putting others first. He still has fun getting together with Charlie, but also looks forward to going home after a few drinks.
Remember the show "Emergency!" from the 70's? Connor would be great in the role Randolf Mantooth did of the young, single paramedic. Come to think of it, the character (Johnny Gage) was a bit like Trip Tucker - sexy, charming, caring, willing to throw himself into every risky situation, excellent at his job.
I currently like "Without a Trace" and would love to see him do a guest, or even recurring, role on that show.
Anyone else have any ideas?

| | Well a break from sci fi for sure. I just want him to get tons of work so that range of his can be fully explored. I'd love to see him in the role of Angelo in Measure for Measure. And leading on from that other roles that let him escape the 'sweet' nature we have come to associate with Trip - somebody downright bad. Definitely comedy I'd like to see him in something that is all in the scripting where the comedy is dependent on delivery and timing - I bet he'd be so good with that. But then I bet he would be great at physical comedy as well. Basically anything - it's a long time to be twiddling my paws until February 2006 for something new!!!

| I bet he'd love to play a bad guy!
I'd LOVE to see him do comedy too! It would be nice if he could get a sitcom (a really smart one), because supposedly that's the best working schedule for actors with kids.

| He said at that recent gig in Georgia that the only things he was getting offered auditions for involved him saying things like 'Drop it!' - so anything that helps him break that mould since he is capable of so much more.

| | I'd like to see him in a Perry Mason type of role. He'd question the witness on the stand and use his charm to coax answers out of them. Then when he'd got them to relax, he'd suddenly turn nasty and expose them as the killer. |

| Another thought occured to me. Having watched endlessly all the behind the scenes stuff on Lord of the Rings - the effort that Andy Serkis put into the creation of the character of Gollum was just intense. I wonder if Connor might relish that kind of challenge? What Serkis achieved will be a benchmark for many years to come but I think Connor might enjoy the creation of a totally new character that required a similar amount of physical effort - there was a magic that went far beyond what an actor or CGI character alone could have achieved. It would be great to see where Connor could go with his voice too - that aspect of his performance has always impressed me.

| Yes I agree - it's committment too - and Connor strikes me as someone who has real commitment to whatever he takes on with his work. I mean Serkis really went through a lot of physical discomfort to make Gollum as real as possible and the animators job that much easier. Not every actor would be willing to go through that sort of thing just to be the voice.
