| | I was watching one of the 'Easter Eggs' (???) on DVD 4.6 a couple of weeks back relating to the rallies outside of Paramount Studios by saveenterprise.com. One of the lads from saveenterprise.com expressed his opinion how Star Trek as a whole had modelled him and how the characters are a good influence on people today. So, I thought it would be a great idea to post this question on each forum relating to his/her character. How has the character of Hoshi influenced you if at all? Its your thread - post your views!

I'd probably say try to overcome fears and doubts the way that Hoshi did.Yeah - I think that is what her character was well known for. Overcoming her phobias and being brave. In 'Exile' she was brave to stay with an alien who she had only just met so that the rest of the crew could find the weapon. I think everyone has fears and phobias so its a lesson to us all. I don't know if I will ever cure my phobias but you never know.

I don't like heights - I feel dizzy when I look down and feel like I'm gonna fall. I don't like crowded places where people jostle you about - I like my space. I've never liked spiders but I can pick up little money spiders and if there's a spider in the house, I can pick it up in a container and put it outside - so I've cured myself of that phobia!! What phobias do you have Q? |

| I don't mind spiders - I can pick them up unless they those massive sheep eating ones with fur. Like you I hate heights for the same reason. I have a phobia for dolls (don't know why except they are evil). I have also a phobia towards soggy tea bags because they are evil as well. Somebody left one on my desk once and I went into a frenzy which resulted in a lot of bad language. I think that is because my Grandad used to fling them at me on a teaspoon when I was legs eleven. I have never forgiven him for that.
