So far we have had many a thread relating to what we admire in Enterprise and the character of Trip.  I thought it might be interesting to flip the coin over and discuss what we didn't like.

For instance, a scene that affects a personal phobia (such as fear of falling), something we find repulsive, a violent scene...anything really that we find we are unable to watch and involves Trip.

I have two phobias, being fear of falling and dolls (yes, believe it or not).  In 'The Breach' I can't watch where Reed, Mayweather and Trip plummet down that rather steep pot hole whilst rescuing the Danoblians.

I also find it hard to watch the very end of Terra Prime - because it even gets me going where T'Pal and Trip are dealing with the loss of their child, albiet as unplanned as the child was.

Does anyone else have any scenes they are unable to watch?

I'll have to think on this for a while.

Right off the bat, I think of Cogenitor because I didn't like seeing him get in such trouble and seeing Archer treat him so coldly. Then again, that episode had such great acting.

The scenes in Similitude leading up to Sim's death - it feels like Trip's dying and it always makes me feel upset.

I dread to think what you were like in These Are The Voyages... - I bet they had to carry you out on a stretcher!

I was ok all through TATV until it got right to the end where Archer, Kirk and Picard said "These are the voyages.....and then the Enterprise theme started playing (the slow one)......by then I was inconsolable.....

I can't watch TATV at all.  Not because it reduces me to tears, but just because its crap!

Another one I can't watch is 'Home' for the same reason as before.  Its when Archer dreams of being thrown off the precipice by the Xindi Reptilians - doesn't do much for my fear of falling. Fortunately, there are no Dolls on Enterprise (which is my other phobia). Dolls are the embodiment of evil. Oh I nearly forgot, I don't like tea bags.  Not fresh ones, they are OK, its used ones when they are wet and sodden.

I generally don't care much about fears and the exploration of fear, but I don't like to watch disgusting things. Like Phlox clipping his toenails and feeding them to one of his pets. Or the eating of yucky stuff (as in Extinction).
