Fight or Flight had one of the best Hoshi moments....when  Enterprise is under attack and Hoshi is struggling to communicate with an alien who blames Enterprise for the murder of his people. She starts panicking and doubting her ability and Archer has to say the crew is depending on her....that's what she's there for.

Then Hoshi manages to communicate with the alien, who joins forces with Enterprise to repel the attack. After, Archer says to Hoshi "we've made a new friend, thanks to you".....you see Hoshi starting to feel more confident in her abilities.

I think Linda was excellent in this scene.....she looked genuinely distressed when acting out Hoshi's turmoil.

I love Hoshi to pieces...

She was pretty good in 'Vanishing Point' as well - she is a very good actress and played the part of someone not so confident really, really cleverly!

I also liked her in In a Mirror Darkly parts 1 & 2 - how she played a completely opposite character, and of course came out on top in the end.

One of my favourite moments is when Phlox puts a Tribble in some creatures cage as food - and the look on Hoshi's face had me in stitches.  That was in 'The breach' I think.

What can you say - she is so excellent at her job!

She is a good actress (actor?) isn't she? Just a shame they only give her more to do in the last season.....they should've given Dominic, Linda, John and Anthony more of the storylines.

I know it was such a waste.  They were robbed of their talents - they should have shown it on 'Crime Watch'.

Makes you wonder what we'd have gotten to see if they'd done a 5th series. They were starting to share out the storylines more and were coming out with great episodes.

Yeah - we might have seen a promotion for Hoshi as she did invent the portable UT thingy (those huge electronic things they were wearing as comm badges).  She should have made Admiral by now!

"Best Hoshi Moments"? Well ... I don't think there are any bad ones personally. I enjoy them all! Linda is such a talented actress, she makes her parts seem real. However, if I were pinned down to pick one of my all time favorites it would be "Exile."

This is my favorite "Hoshi Moment" because Linda is playing a woman, not so much as a Star Fleet officer, but a woman in an unusual situation. I know she is acting, but you can almost catch tiny glimpses of the woman that is Linda. I find this very refreshing and intrigueing. The wardrobe was more feminine and it accented her figure. That clingy gray dress was gorgeous on her. Oh, and let's not forget the close-ups! Beautiful ... absolutely Beautiful!

Yeah - she was very good in 'Exile'. I know what you mean about the starfleet uniforms - they don't bring out your figure!
