I have never got into that Stargate stuff.  Walking through some magical doorway isn't as believable as travelling on a starship.

I like sci-fi but it has to be believable. Mind you that blond one is rather nice.

Yeah. Faster than light-travel is such an accepted term in physics. (Just kidding)

I kinda liked Stargate, but then again it has Richard Dean Anderson in it, and I like his work. (Yeah, MacGyver-fan here...big time!)

But of course, we don't get Stargate Atlantis here. Yippie-yay for living far away.

Just finished watching the episode and connor is amazing in it, especially towards the end.  I think its going to gain him a lot more fans, and, fingers crossed, another recurring role on the show.

You know I am always going on about how accident prone I am.  Well today I hit my ultimate.  I electricuted myself!  Me mates are taking the Mickey-Mouse out of me.  They are now calling me 'Short Circuit' - its about time they grew up...

Brr. Red Bull. Dangerous stuff that is. It's so sweet I believe they produce it by melting raspberry jellies and mix it with sugar and asparatam.

Lol, you have to watch out then, electrical things can be rather dangerous stuff.

But I know a bit of that feeling. For being a student of technology, technology sure doesn't want to work with me sometimes. My computer keeps restarting itself when I use it, and I even made a toaster shoot out flames a decimeter high once.

Ooh - nasty!

Actually, if were to electricute myself - you'd think in my profession it would be repairing a PC or something.  In actual fact, what I did yesterday was I went walking with a couple of mates and decided to climb through a fence into a field.  The fence was electrified!  Not only that - it wasn't designed for just mere sheep - there were huge cows in this field!  Perhaps I should start to follow the country code!

On the subject of toasters, when I worked for Railtrack as a Data Analyst, I had to have a medical in order to make site visits.  Anyway, my appointment at the medical centre in York was a 10.45am.  I had been drinking water all morning and standing under the air-conditioning in my office so I would be able to give a sample.

That morning, someone (in their infinite wisdom) decided to cook toast in the kitchen.  The toast got stuck and smoke was bellowing out of this toaster on the floor above me.  Invariably, the fire alarms went off, and the building was evacuated.

Now, let me tell you, it was the coldest morning of the year and tempratures were sub-zero, we were all stood outside waiting for the word to go back in.  I was so desperate for the toilet I nearly dismembered myself jumping up and down like a complete loon.

At 10.45 that morning, I just said to the nurse, "please, please let me go to the toilet!"  and she said, "there is just a few forms to fill out first"!  "I really do need the toilet" I replied.  Anyway she let me - I was so relieved!  I nearly nearly suffered a core-breach!

I've never seen SGA before so can't comment on how this episode fits in with ongoing storyline, but I thought Connor shone out against the regular cast some of whom were, to my mind, rather wooden.

The plot is excellent and well carried through - real thought-provoking ethical dilemma stuff.  And I thought Connor looked great in the Wraith makeup!

Well this episode did nothing to change my opinion of Stargate as a franchise - the writing is as banal as I remember and the acting from the main cast is uniformly dreadful (no actually Ronan does come off better than the rest). Connor has no difficulty at all in shining in such company. The blond chick needs to be singled out - an embarrassment everytime she opens her mouth.

It was a good story idea, ruined by pedestrian writing and another actor probably would have failed to build any tension at all from the script presented. Connor of course overcomes this with his usual flair and really engages the audience with Michael's character and plight.

It is something I will re-watch because of Connor but I can't help feeling every time I have so far that so much more could have been achieved especially in tackling the very heavy moral issues involved.
