| | The first draft of the new ST film is under review by Paramount. It's called Star Trek: the Beginning and is set a couple of years after ST: Enterprise, but well before ST:TOS. The writer of the film, Erik Jendresen, says "It would look at the inciting incident that started everything." Rick Berman sayys Paramount is pushing for "A fresh, new, non-television crew." Erik Jendresen also says "The real challenge on this project is to create something that goes way beyond the fanbase and brings new people to this. I have no intention of doing anything that violates or betrays the spirit of Star Trek. I really want to get back to Gene Roddenberry's original vision. So what do you think? I'd like to see references in the film being made to the ST:Enterprise crew, to acknowledge their contribution to the Star Trek folklore. |

| Well, if they are to do a movie, I do hope that they do the two books that are about Enterprise. So far there are only two of the ST: that has done a movie. That is TOS and TNG.

| They won't do an enterprise movie. I also think the continuation of star trek scripts that keep getting talked about going to paramount...
until they actually put out a press release with the actual time line and plot, then I won't believe anything! But I do believe it'll be a fresh cast completely. And the film won't be out for a few years yet so plenty of time to do stuff.
Remember. IF, and that's a very big, huge IF, they ever brought enterprise back as a film, it would need to be set in the 6 years before TATV due to one character 'demise'... so I highly doubt they'd be interested in that anyway.

| | No, there are no hopes of an Enterprise movie but they're already talking about possible sequels to the new movie that hasn't even got the green light yet. |

| | Well unless it's and Enterprise movie - and sadly it won't be - I don't care what they do. I have no interest in a completely new 'movie' ship/crew and certainly won't be seeing this movie. After 40 years of watching Star Trek I'm finally giving up. Apart from Enterprise books, merchandise etc I won't be watching any new Trek, TV or movie. I don't intend to devote my time, love and money to a new series only to have Paramount kick me in the teeth again! |

| | Rick Berman said "If Paramount decides that they're going to reinvigorate or reinvent Star Trek at some point in the future, that would probably negate the use of characters from the existing shows." So it looks like the movie will be a completely fresh start with no characters from the tv shows in it - so it really is the end of Enterprise (apart from repeats), what with no new series, no movie and no guest appearances from the Enterprise cast in the movie. The film is down for a 2007 release but hasn't got a start date for production yet. |

| | Some interesting news: Patrick Stewart has said he's set for a return to the helm of Enterprise. He said there were plans for another movie and that "about 4 months ago at a meeting in LA, the subject was raised quite seriously from a very interesting point of view." So it looks like there's gonna be another TNG movie. |

| | It's looking more likely that there's gonna be a new TNG movie, what d'ya think about that? With all the talk about resting Star Trek for a while and then setting off with a new cast/crew I can't understand what they're thinking of. After all, Nemesis didn't do all THAT well at the box office, so why go back over old ground? |

After all, Nemesis didn't do all THAT well at the box office, so why go back over old ground? Well, I was never a TNG fan - too much 'soap in space' for my taste. But I did enjoy Nemesis, even if it didn't make quite as many millions of dollars profit as TPTB would have liked. But I can't see the point of yet another TNG film - same old, same old. Not when they have other - better - series to utilise. I know it's asking for the impossible, but just think how great an Enterprise film dealing with the Romulan War could be. Not to mention how much more exciting that The Really Rather Old Generation. |
