Just wanted to let you know that I've posted a report of the con at Milton Keynes on my Livejournal.  It can be found here.

My weekend at MK

I should warn you that it does contain slight spoilers for Season 4 (if you've not yet seen it) and Season 5 of Stargate: Atlantis.  It was a very chilled weekend which I enjoyed a lot.  The days to read are Saturday and Sunday, as Connor went home on Monday in spite of being advertised all four days, and I missed Friday because of work committments.

Weeee!

I always get left behind at the good ones. :p

You know, we ought to make plans for Boston, even if the con itself doesn't work out.  I am, after all, only going for the racing   It doesn't matter how many calls I make to certain people, they don't believe I'm going for anything other than the con. :p  And what's the news on that, anyway?  I haven't been to their site in ages.

'Course I could get off of my lazy bum, pause Michael's stuff and read for myself... Nah.. too complicated.

Pause Michael's stuff...  sacriledge.  lol...

As far as Boston goes, I think it's still going on.  The website is still there and full of people and all that.    You're right we should get some plans together for the things we want to do. We know you're there for the track first the convention second. *grin*

MK was a fun con... if hectic at times.  Would have been more fun with company.  That's not to say I didn't enjoy meeting the girl from Belgium and all...   And those gosh-darned Redcoats...

If it's full of people why are people telling me it's not full of events?  Maybe we are (the four of us) talking about two different cons?  And I meant make plans with /them/ to meet up there even if nothing goes, do a little sightseeing as a group, you know?   That's assuming that the tickets would still be theirs if there was nothing to do once they got there.

But there is, of course the matter of meals to be worked out.. hm.. So many Enterprise folks... so little time..

...   And those gosh-darned Redcoats...

I thought they were red shirts? Which are they? The people who die as soon as they talk or an armed mass of military men?

Well I just checked on the bit where you buy the tickets, and the people in question are all listed as being there now... though goodness knows it's an old, and and not the best picture. *eeps*  So yes, we should make arrangements to meet up with them there, do a few things together, as I said even if it means I have to fly straight in to Boston.

But there is, of course the matter of meals to be worked out.. hm.. So many Enterprise folks... so little time..

And not just the enterprise people any more... As I looked I saw Bill Forsythe on the list.  I mean, not that I'd necessarily want to eat with him, but... I was surprised to see him going...  so yeah, so many Enterprise folks...

ROFL...  dear me.  You know you've been teaching "The Highwayman" too long when you mistake a redshirt for a redcoat.  LOL  I did mean shirt.... red/shirts/.  Some of them were just too creepy for words.

Nice report - sounds like you had a fun time there!!

I just managed to get there for the Sunday - it turns out that Connor was so tired because he was basically on his way home from Bulgaria after five and half weeks filming Termination Shock for the sci fi channel. Poor lamb was eager to get home to his family and because of the way the flights worked out he had to fly back to Sofia on the Monday so he could catch his flight back to LA on Tuesday.

Yeah, I had a great time, thanks.  When I spoke to Connor on Sunday he did say that he had to go home, and the poor fella did look tired.  Mind you, for all that, he was friendly and charming, as you no doubt figured after reading the report.  It was good to see him again.   Last time I saw him was in Manchester at the tail end of last year, and he looked /cold/... all bundled up in jackets and sweaters and scarfs...  I'm sure he found our May 'summertime' weather far more appealing. *chuckles*

It's a shame we couldn't have bumped into each other - it's always good to put a face to a name.

Wow..That is awesome..Myself I planning to go to the Star Trek convention in Vegas this year..I hope I get a chance to talk to him..I like his Michael character to the point I defended him in the scifi forum for Michael..Every think I hear about Connor is great..Being 9th generation Floridian he had it down in Trip..Well, him playing Micheal speaks for itself

I don't know if you have ever check out gateworld.net but they have spoilers for next season and the 1st episode has Michael..yahoo

Thank you sharing you experience with Connor

Befriend all you meet and maybe the world will be a better place
