Hey Julie, welcome to the forum. First of all, to truly appreciate Connor Trinneer, you must spell his name right. Connor is 2 o's, no e's.

CT's "Michael" is awesome. For Connor fans like me, it's a departure because he has never played such a bad?? guy before. The conflict within the character is brilliant and Connor plays it deliciously. Is he evil or do the Atlantians have it coming considering what they did to him - over and over again? Do you fear him or feel sorry for him? For me it's both, at different times.

If you want to see his good guy work, you must watch Star Trek: Enterprise, where he plays the very first Chief Engineer on the very first starship Enterprise. His character is Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker and he's the best character on the show, imo, anyway.

Regarding his other work, I wrote the following when this board first started. It has his earlier work with my own reviews/comments.

CONNOR’S EARLY ONSCREEN PERFORMANCES

*61: It's a little difficult - so many of the things he's been in were really short scenes. He only has one scene in *61 (he's a sportswriter), but it's a pivotal scene. It's worth seeing just for the hair and glasses. If you go on his official site under "Information", the pics on the left show him in a white shirt and jacket, holding a cigarette. His hair is slicked back with old-style glasses. It's a very good movie, especially if you like baseball, so it's worth the price of the rental.

ER: His ER scene was before the credits rolled, so it's less than a minute. He's an EMT bringing a woman in, so it's from outside the door, past the main desk, and he's done. (The woman on the stretcher moans so loudly it's annoying. I'd have told her she was unconscious.) The epi. was called "Sharp Relief" from Season 4, if you know anyone who's bought the DVD's. That still gets rerun, I think the channel is TBS, so you might catch it. But remember, before the credits and he's done.

TBAA: His Touched By An Angel was basically one scene as well -- but it's powerful! It's at the end of the show, though his character has been talked about throughout, and has been scene in brief glimpses on the TV set that's playing in the background of the story. I don't know if that's out on DVD yet. It's also a 4th season epi., called "Seek and Ye Shall Find". I've heard the Hallmark Channel reruns TBAA. If you can find it, it's a "CT Must See!"

Sliders: The show is coming out on DVD now. It's a leading guest role, so he's in more than half the show. He's the leader of a rebel faction. Again, it's from season 4, and is called "Prophets and Loss". That does show up on the Sci-Fi channel occassionally. Definitely worth checking the listings for it!

Far East (play): Far East is not on DVD, but if you can find someone who has a copy of it, it's a "CT Must See!" It's actually a taped recording of a play, done for the PBS show "Stage on Screen". He's the best thing in it. (I found the main story incredibly boring.) He has maybe a half dozen scenes and he out-acts the rest of the cast! Really incredible. It's set in the 1950's and he's a young gay Navy officer who's in the closet and is forced to come out when he's blackmailed. CT's back in uniform and the character is from Oklahoma so he sounds like Trip.

Pensacola: Wings of Gold: The show is not out on DVD as far as I know. He's acting with Kathryn Morris, who currently stars in "Cold Case Files". Connor plays an attorney in the Marines. He has a couple of scenes, but nothing awesome (like Touched by an Angel). It's an earlier work - he's a bit younger and even thinner, if you can imagine that. The title is "Trials and Tribulations", but I don't know what season it's from.

Freakylinks: This also shows up on the Sci-Fi channel occassionally. He's cute in it because he's a young husband who's worried about his pregnant wife who seems to be possessed by something or someone. He has quite a few scenes, but frankly, the writing is pretty weak, so it's really not much. He does well with what he's got to work with. It's from the first season (second epi. actually) and is called "Three Thirteen." For a pic, again look on his official site and click on the "Information" section, it's the one right under the one from *61.

I've never been able to find his Gideon's Crossing. It hasn't come out on DVD and I don't know if there are any plans to bring it out. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

**************

Since ST: Enterprise ended, he's played a bad guy on NCIS, a basketball coach on Without a Trace, and a rancher on Numb3rs. My favorite was when he played a lawyer on Close to Home (no longer on the air).

Have I missed anything folks?

Hope this helps, Julie.
