| | How about 'Cogenitor'? I thought that he was so great in that one. And my favourite one in that one has to be at the end when they were waiting for the Captain to decide her faith. The way 'Trip' was sat there looking at her. The other has to be Observer effect. Where he goses and stops Hoshi from opening the door. Where he finally is holding her in his arms.

| I remember hearing an interview once where Connor was asked about all his expressions and he seemed surprised by the question and suggested they were just him. Having watched carefully the couple of times I met him I agree - he just naturally has a naturally very expressive face that he puts to perfect use as an actor.

Cause if so, Connor sounded completely bewildered by the question. I'd love to have seen his expressions then!! |

| Episodes: Unexpected, Similitude, The Forgotten, Home
Scenes: pretty much anything from Similitude, in the wild shirt at the beginning of Fallen Hero, talking with T'Pol in Breaking the Ice, the holographic chamber in Unexpected, talking with T'Les in Home, also whenever he got to be Acting Capt.
Other Screen Performances: Far East, Sliders and Touched By an Angel (I can't wait for 'Michael' on SG: Atlantis!)

He's one of the best ever! That's such a great gift for an actor to have. The first actor I really noticed that in was Carroll O'Connor (Archie Bunker in All In The Family and the Chief in In The Heat of the Night series). His face was so expressive, he could convey any emotion without a word. And his eyes were just amazing -- he could convey so much with those expressive eyes. Connor has the same gifts. The scene in Close to Home where he told Annabeth that he'd seen the victim. He did so much with just his face and eyes in that scene. It just blew me away.
At a con Q & A, I asked him about the "head drop" thing that Trip does. (It always makes me laugh when he does that.) I asked if he made that up just for Trip or if he does it too. He said that's just part of him, then laughed and said it part of his "natural talent". He seemed surprised by that question too -- as if it's something he never thought about. I always thought those moments must have been carefully planned. He makes it look so easy.

| You're totally right about his expressions, it was the fandom interview where he mentioned that he is not aware of, it 's just him ??!!Favourite parts - his eyes ! So blue... Episodes -, don't get me wrong, he was doing a great job as Trip, I fall for him just the minute I saw him, but the way he portrayed "Michael", was absolutely stunning, I 've always loved watching him but he outdid himself in this episode ! |
