| It's out on November 16th - anyone planning on seeing it? I don't usually go for motion capture movies but hey, Dominic's in it so I'll be seeing it! |

| I plan on seeing it, yes. It's the kind of thing that's usually right up my alley ~ though again, not sure about the motioncap thing. Usually a live action girl m'self.

| I would say "let's all get together and go" but something tells me that's gonna be darn near impossible. I will go. By my lonely self if I must. Most likely on opening night. As far as motion capture.. I'm .. I'm not really sure where I stand on it because just a computer generated movie, no matter the quality.. if it's /all/ done that way with no motion capture and no actual people (acting against the CG character), it's just a cartoon. Now I don't have anything against cartoons, but I like actual motion... I like actual motion interacting with the CG character. Dragonheart spoiled me rotten on what one could do with that. Polar Express was motion capture too, yes? I didn't care to see it, but every winter we show it to the kids and have cocoa and cookies in our pajamas, all spread out on the floor, spilling hot cocoa on each other.. Great fun for the teachers~ After seeing it for the first time I thought it was okay, but not as nice in the movement department.. So far what I've seen of the previews I've liked, so ... I guess I'll see how I feel when I get there. Listening to the story of it was nice though. /That's/ the kind of thing I enjoy about it. The tales after the deed's done.

| Might steal your idea for my kids this Christmas - though not sure about the PJ part. But definitely the movie and cocoa. Of course the movie opens the day before Manchester... hmmm.

| | Over there or over here or both? Well I mean, I know when it opens over here... The pjs are half the fun! Yeah, the teachers usually have to come up with something to wear, but you're all cozy and wrapped up in your fuzzy robes and slippers... And it gives the kids to show of a little of what they're like at home. They /love/ comparing. I don't care how old you are, it's still fun to compare. If it wasn't why get those sleeping shirts with the phrases on if you're the only ones to see? Geez I miss hotel sharing.. lol (No, I do not blame you for my loss of it.)

| According to the Odeon group webpage it opens here on the 16th as well. It all depends on how I plan on getting 'up north' so to speak as to if I'll get to see it before I go or not, and that depends on how long it's likely to take to drive and when the trains are and things... so much to find out, so little time... Maybe it's something I can negotiate with the powers that be at school, to let my kids be 'out of uniform' for a special event or something. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. The more I think about it, the more I want to do it.

| Oh, just let 'em bring their bathrobes or favorite blanket to wrap up in, wouldn't that be close enough?

| I should think it would be, though I can't reallly see a problem with the PJ's if we did it close enough to the Christmas vacation. If I can get away with legitimately basing one of my literacy units of work around ST:ENT I think I should manage a PJ and cocoa party.
