| Here I am !!!! I heard from my convention friends that thursday night at the Fiuggi Hotel, when Connor was just arrived, he literaly ran to the food&wine party where a Eatcon was going on - as the convention itself has been titled in the name of good eating and drinking.
Friday afternoon, when Connor arrived in the hall to sign photos with fans, he was carrying a cup of wine and his mood was very sparkling and cheerful.
So, I joined the queue with my Michael Kenmore’s pic and asked him “how are you?”, to which he kindly replied “very well and you?”. Then I handed him a book about the history of Italy, he smiled and thanked me sincerely, adding that he really likes history books.
On saturday he showed up (wearing elegant grey wool pants and a white shirt with thin stripes) to meet us in the dining hall. He was as beautiful as the sun. I asked him if he would continue with his role of Michael in Atlantis. He answered that, as of now, nothing is certain, and that he really hopes to go on. Then he added that for his future projects he would like to improve his technique in the golf game, learn how to paint with watercolors, do shopping, take care of Jasper and watch many movies of Frederic March and Meryl Streep.
By the end of the dinner party a gorgeous birthday-cake joined the actors’ table. Indeed that was a surprise, as he really seemed not to expect it.
He rose and thanked all of us, after which we all went to wish him happy birthday!
Sunday: appearently Connor went to bed at 5.30 a.m. By noon we saw him approaching with a cappuccino in his hand and we watched with him an episode of Farscape (at the con was also present Virginia Hey, Zhaan in Farscape). That evening, for dinner, we were again at the table next to his, and the lady in charge of the translation toasted to our guests, thanking Connor for being present, adding that we are all in love with him!..
Then it was their turn to toast at the hospitality and thanked us for inviting them, adding that they’ll certainly and gladly come back.
If the Londonexpo was great, I have to say that this last con was the best ever!!!
(thank you sister for helping with the translation and thank you Lolita for bringing us Connor)

| | Thank you Valentina for the great report on the Convention. I loved your mentioning all the little details. I could visualize all the things you talked about. I'm so glad you had an opportunity to get to know Connor. He is such a nice person and very sincere. Did you take any pictures? I didn't find a link. Maybe I missed it. I had an opportunity to meet Connor at one of the smaller Conventions and it was really nice. If you have some pictures, please post them. Thanks again for the newsy post! Mary |
