| Thanks for telling me about this. Who knows about the quality on EBay, and it's from VHS to DVD, so I was quite reluctant until I saw how cheap it was. I figured, even with shipping, it's less than I spend on breakfast.

| the quality shouldn't be too bad as it's not (or shouldn't be) recorded from tv source but a bought vhs. my copy of desmonds series 1 is like that and is pretty decent. just hellish to screencap! the others I've got are much worse as is all recorded from the tv in the early 90s, left to stew for about ten years then copied to dvd! not great but hey, until channel 4 get their fingers out, it's the best we'll do.

| the reason amazon have them at that price is because they've likely don'e a video hunt, like sendit.com/blackstar used to do.
As everything hasn't come out on dvd yet, the things that are now only on deleted videos have become really rare. they think someone might be desperate enough to buy at that price. Though as it is, desmonds only ever came out as a series 1 release on video, and none of the subsequent series were released.
Amazon are only being expensive to try and get as much as they can for putting in a little extra work. on ebay I have seen the original videos go for high prices anyway so they can get away it too. it's also possible they have relatively new copies.
hence the expensive.
But it's still only video, and getting a copy of them on dvd, you don't lose the quality, not noticeably enough to warrant spending 50 quid.
but channel 4 are the ones you want to constantly email. get the episodes remastered and put on dvd, that's what we want!
