Considering the Borg cube went for 80k and the Enterprise-E went for 110k I doubt I have that kind of money as well.

the catalogue alone costs more than I would be able to pay for anything right now!

So true. I've put the catalogue in their shopping cart twice, but I just can't spend that. I wish I could...I wish, I wish I could, because I'm sure it's lovely. But that's a lotta cash.

You can actually view the auction live if you go to the Christie's site. I watched the man win the Enterprise-E with his bid. At first I thought I'd misheard the dollar amount, but no, that went for $110,000 US. One could fund a small nation with that sum. You'd have to really, really LOVE this show and have a LOT of money lying about...

...Well, let's just say that his priorities are obviously not my priorities. But I'd love to be invited to his house!

The voyager model went for 110k also! I wonder how much the NX-01 would have gone for if it was made as a model.

Avery Brooks showed up at one point I wonder if he bought anything ... wonder if anyone would bid against him if he did want something.
