Seeing William Shatner advertising breakfast cereal on tv made me curious........would you buy something that Dominic advertised on tv?

I wondered when someone would bring that up!

Do you remember those ads? I kind of have a vague recollection of them, but I don't think I went out and bought the products.........but if he advertised them now.......who knows?!

Seriously, if it was something with his picture on then yes, I'd probably buy one.  But unless it was something I really wanted/needed that would be it.  I don't buy products because of who advertises them.

However...I can be put off a product by an ad big time.  No way am I ever going to buy Shatner's cereal.  He looks like he should be going out for a long energetic walk, not sitting down with a big bowl of whatever it is!

I agree. I think those ads are dreadful. But if it were something like the Lynx ad where the chap runs around town wearing just a towel........

I could see him making a bundle just doing the voiceovers for commercials. Patrick Stewart has done lots of them. There's nothing like a beautiful English accent to make Americans think something is classy. (We're so gullible!)

Dominic's voice is nicer than Patrick Stewart's so he'd be great at doing voice overs - I wonder why he doesn't do them? Does he never get asked?

Fluffy - I agree about the Lynx ad......very cheeky!

go to http://www.voicebank.net/ and into house reels and search dominic's name. you can download his agency reel for anyone interested in using him as voiceover.

DK does voiceovers. I "auditioned" his tape for a VO I was casting, but we decided the actor had to be American. Being a totally biased fangirl, I was so sad, but it really was the right choice.
