I'll be honest I have only been a fan of Dominic since his appearence on Enterprise. However, I have been incredibly timid about becoming part of his fan clubs just because of stereotypes. It is litterally because of him and after I had purchased a Newcastle brown beer for him while he was signing autographs my perceptions began to change. When I delievered the beer I was building up courage to moments later ask him to have a drink with myself and some newly aquired friends at the hotel bar. He said yes!

After he did autographs he met up with the members of one of his many fan clubs in the bar of the hotel. When he finished with them he came over to admit to us that he wanted to eat in his room and would have ex-nay on drinking with us. He left and then came back and ate with us! He couldn't get room service to pick up.  (Lucky me, he slid right in next to me to tell us this news.)

He was such a delight, I was laughing so hard just talking with him. I thought it was amusing how anyone who recognized him in the bar kept asking for to take "freebie" pictures with him while he was eating. I didn't want to then he asked me to take a picture with him! OMG!!!

During our time at the bar I told him my history of admiration (embarrasing now) he over time convinced me that I should join at least one of the groups. So here I am.

There is so much more to this story but for now it is going to remain a very treasured memory for me and because if Dominic actually reads this I don't want trouble.

I'm sooooo jealous you got to spend all that time with him  .....he's a terrific guy, even though I haven't met him yet............I hope to one day!

Yeah I've heard about Species4 maybe going straight to DVD......I hope it isn't true but at least Dominic is working and he has other films coming out in the future, so fingers crossed he'll have some hit movies!

More parts to my Sacramento story...

Others I met... well ... I had a drink with Armin (Quark) when DK was showering for the dessert part of the convention.

I only went to the convo to hear him speak and then I was planning on leaving. I ended up spending the night in Sacto because I drank too much with a couple of other trekkers. These trekkers allowed me to crash in their room which was (OMG) 5 doors down from DK's room! When I left in the morning I had to walk past DK's room (his door was open)to get the elevator. DK saw me leaving and asked me why I was leaving the convention. I said it was because he was leaving and he was the reason I had come to the convention. He hugged me good bye and went back to his room service breakfast. DK was so amazingly sweet!! Even with a tinge of being hungover (I suspect) he was every bit a gentleman.

I hope for his sake Species 4 doesn't go to DVD immediately because I want him to know they aren't just using him for his name, as he worried about. He belongs on the big screen and that is where I look forward to seeing him again.

When you get to meet DK you will never forget it. PROMISE. Just be ready for him to hug you ... for some reason he seams to be into that. He so gives 110% and deserves the admiration that is given in this forum.
