Paris, thats not bad for two seasons at £70! I think I paid just over £300 quid for all 4 seasons. Best purchase I ever made (other than my Ford Focus!):) Glad you are still in one piece after your camping!:)

Nathan's a cutie too. I don't know what he's like in real life. I figure there has to be at least two people I'm interested in meeting to make it worthwhile. (And one of them has to be Connor!) :D

That one wouldn't do it for me. Although you could ask the Stargate ladies what it was like to work with him!

I'm in two minds as wether to go to LFCC, Gates Mcfadden, and the 2 ladies from Stargate Atlantis and Nathan Fillion are going to be there, as well as Richard Dreyfuss......whew.

Shame Connor won't be...but that is me being greedy. LOL

My mother's family is from Scotland. I've only met two of them, but have always loved the accent. Must have been nice growing up with it.

Tulsa would mean putting [i]alot[/i] of $$ on a credit card, which I'm not thrilled about, but all the stories from the past three cons are making me crazy. I also wanted to get to at least one during the 40th anniversary.

I'd love to hear more about Expo. as well. Paris, do you know anyone who puts photos on their computer that could help you out?

I'm actually thinking about going to a con in Tulsa, Oklahoma later this month. Connor will be there Sat. only, but Paul McGillion from Stargate: Atlantis will be there Sun. (The doctor with the lovely Scottish accent.)

Hello.......back after the camping trip.

Please do not stop talking about expo.....its the only thing keeping it alive for me. Venice has done my photos for me but i have no idea how to put some on the forum.

Q ....i have ordered season 2 and 4 from amazon for under £70 which i think is not to bad. Can't wait for them to get here........work will have to take second place..[deadline is 22nd june].

off to see X Men 3 now.

Two stones! Ouch! Just having it once was bad enough for me. I was in spasm basically, down my back and side. Did you have the keyhole type of thing? They told me it was calcium but I have heard that it can be other minerals that build up. The thing with me is I used to eat a lot of dairy products and I think thats why I might have lost weight but not sure. A couple of years ago, I went from 12.5st (175lbs) to 16st (224lbs) and now I'm standing at 14.12 (197lbs) since I've cut certain foods out. So I have lost 16lbs within around 6 weeks. I'm just worried I might be losing weight too quickly if you know what I mean.:)

Yes! LOL. I only got two autos, Conners and Robert Picardo's - my two favourite characters from Enterprise and Voyager. If there was some more cast from Enterprise, I would have pushed the boat out and got theirs but unfortunatley there was only Conner Trinneer there so there wasn't much hope of that. I probably wouldn't have gone for Ethan's autograph anyway, for reasons you already know!:)

Out of interest, since having my kidney stone, I've lost 16lbs in weight and still going down! I lost 3lbs over the weekend I was in London.:) I'm wondering if its this diet they put me on, or if the kidney stone was the reason why I put on weight so quickly. I put on about 3 stone within a year or two.

I was very impressed by Walter - it was interesting to see the trailer from the 'New Voyages' project he has completed which he jumped at doing as he felt it gave closure of some kind to Chekov's character. He clearly felt the amateur actors weren't up to much but was very complementary about the other production standards (written by D C Fontana and effects are great). If I ever get the facility to download at a decent speed I would like to see it. I also thought his comments about the next film being a re-visit to the original series were understandable although I feel that it would be almost impossible to cast.

I did get fed up in his Saturday afternoon Q&A which was supposed to about 40 years of Star Trek and nobody asked him about it so I asked the only question I did all weekend - about his feelings about the legacy which produced a very thoughtful response ending with that fact that the fans and their attitudes and contributions were the best legacy - it was us!

Oh and I agree - these guys earn every penny of whatever they make at these things - it must be exhausting!

I don't know the details of how guests are paid for events of this kind, and frankly it's none of my business. But I do know that they earn every penny they get.

At Fedcon Connor signed well over 1000 autographs and acknowledged every fan with a smile and friendly comment. Same at Expo - he was willing to spend time chatting with fans, and allow himself to be photographed pretty well all day, both days.

Conventions and autograph fairs are fun for us, but for the guests they're work, and damn hard work at that! I for one don't begrudge paying for the privilege of meeting and spending time with Connor, Dominic or any of the Enterprise cast, and stunmping up the price for autographs and photographs is part of that.

@Lekha....The tickets were quite cheap so I would imagine they would only get a small percentage. I'm not sure how it all works but I'm not sorry I had to pay for autographs, photos and the like. It was well worth it.

@TMG...Yes it was my first con, first of many I hope! It wasn't just a joy to be there, it was a priviledge! Its funny, I was in two minds about attending and now I am so glad I decided to go. Definatley be there next, hopefully there will be some more Enterprise cast there this time. I actually looked at some web sites relating to previous MCM's at Expo and saw who the guests were. You were lucky to get to that one - I wish I'd been there.:)

@Everyone...You do realise everyone that I am going to prattling on about this event for some time to come - I'm bubbling over with enthusiasm. I think my favourite bit about it was actually having the opportunity to tell Connor how much I admired Enterprise from all other series because it is something I feel quite passionate about. Thats why with me the cancellation cut like a knife and was incomprehensible, I couldn't grasp or understand why it should have to occur. I didn't want to bring that topic up with Connor because it being a taboo and sore subject - not to Connor, but for me personally! LOL:) No, it was nice to vent that opinion to someone who worked on the series. Meeting Robert Picardo was another favourite, paricularly as he sounded exactly like the Holographic Doctor - I kept expecting him to say "Please state the nature of the medical emergency" in which I would of replied "I'm in shock from the effects of this con - wheres the bio-bed". It was just so fantastic, and to ask Walter Keonig how he personally felt about Startrek celebrating its 40th anniversary was another highlight. I should stop going on about it shouldn't I?:)

I didn't realize that was your first con, Q! London Expo was my first too! It's a nice one to start with. Now you can look forward to going every year, depending on who's there. In '04, it was Connor, Dom, Marina Sirtis, Robert Beltran, Armin Shimerman, and Haley Todd. It was great fun seeing Connor and Dom together.

They certainly do deserve it. When you think that they are there early on through to the end, then there was the party in the evening and back to again to do it all over again the next day - they must be knackered. Thats not to mention travelling and the jet lag they will endure before hand.

I'm still pinching myself over the entire occassion...it was so unreal. Initially, I was more excited about attending my first con and wasn't that bothered about the guests. Now I have actually seen them in the flesh and even talk with them - its too much for me.:) Its something I'm never going to forget. My first impressions of CT were good ones, I liked him I thought he was a nice chap. He seems to hate the limelight side of things (which you can't blame him - I don't think I would like that level of attention), very humble and reserved, I dare say even shy off stage. Seems to come out of himself more on stage and I must admit I'm like that myself. I'm not saying I get on stage very often, but I come out of myself more in a group than a one to one. (As Paris said, I'm quite shy sometimes - I don't mind admitting).

I've got my two autographs framed and hung up in my office at home, but I don't know where to hang my photo of CT and myself yet. I'll think of somewhere. LOL.

@ TMG...no, I didn't tell him about 'Q's Line is it Anyway' but I did introduce Paris, Venice and myself as from his forum. He later told me that he never views it!!! I very nearly said "it's a good job you don't" but I bit my lip! LOL. But yes that is me. Just average I'm afraid. :)

The thing I was pleased that I got to tell him in person was that I thought Enterprise was the best series in the Star Trek lineage basically because of the quality of acting which included himself...I feel very strongly about that and I didn't say that to be nice - it was an honnest opinion which I am emphatic about. So that was good.:) Having said that to him, he kind of paused in thought and looked very touched by what I said and he replied "Thanks".

@DC...no I should have done actually. He probably wouldn't have understood it anyway, so its may be just as well! I tell you, I wouldn't have traded last weekend for anything. To meet and get to converse with my favourite Star Trek actors and actresses was just amazing. I would never trade it for anything...it was beyond my wildest dreams.:)

Great pics! I chose that same Connor one when I went. I wanted the first season publicity shot when he was leaning, but they were long gone.

So, that the Qster, huh? Doesn't look so omnipotent, but then, that could be part of your powers. (Take 'em off guard.) Did you tell Connor about "Q's line is it anyway" and how you're the champ?

Trouble is conventions are work to the stars and as they are self employed they have to earn money somewhere. If they are not doing any filming how else are they to earn money.

Its actually quite worrying because he is 4 years older than me and is going grey (as you can tell from the beard). I'm thinking, in 4 years time I could be dying my hair....yikes! (if I have any left that is).

I had my photo taken with Connor (a professional one). I wasn't going to bother but I was encouraged by Venice and Paris who I met up with. In case you were wondering what Paris and Venice are like in person, they are extremely nice and friendly and enjoyed their company!

I also got Connor's autograph along with Robert Picardo. They were £15 each so I only got the two of them!:)

I asked Connor if I could take a couple of pics for his message board (which admittedly he said he never views!) However, here is two of them!

I am going to update my website with a report and some more photos of the event. I am well chuffed because I managed to get to talk to the above and Robert Picardo (EMH from Voyager), Walter Keonig (Chekov from TOS), Nicole DeBeor (Ezri Dax from DS9 who incidently was well hot!) J Hertler (who plays Kahless) and saw many others. I also have some funny experiences, particularly an annoying man on the way home who sat next to me on the train. He fell asleep and started snoring. It was like sitting next to Darth Vader with the flu. There is a bit more to that story but all will be revealed on my website based on the event. Happy viewing!
