You know I could see him playing a defense lawyer on Law and Order (one of them) he played an awesome one in Close to Home

You know I would like to see him in a movie like Knights and sword fighting

Heck I like see him in anything

Hi I'm new to the forum, but I think of this every time I watch CSI:Miami. Here's my dream scenario for that show:

Horatio Caine (David Caruso) gets fired as head of the crime lab for getting WAY too personally involved in EVERY SINGLE murder investigation in Miami (and being a smug git). It wouldn't hurt to get rid of Delko while they're at it.

Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) is promoted to head of the crime lab.

Connor Trinneer comes in as a hot-shot new CSI to fill her old position - we already know he can handle a Florida accent, right? :)

I'd really love to see these two play against each other, and I think the show would really benefit from an actor of Connor's calibre.

Every time I read about a new show, whether it be starting in Sept. or as a mid-season replacement, I think, "Why didn't Connor get that job?!?!?!" It's terribly frustrating. :crazy:

I have seen so many shows that would be perfect for Connor......I would love to know if his approach to the sci-fi channel was successful.

Looks like no one has posted a reply to this thread for a while, but I wanted to add my two cents.

Just watched an episode of one of my favorite shows, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, and it occurred to me that Connor would be PERFECT on this show. It's obviously very different from Enterprise, but I think he'd fit right in. He's definitely got the emotional range, sensitivity and charm to be on this show--and we already know that he can do the accent. Couldn't you just picture him as Coach Taylor's (Kyle Chandler) younger brother?--they've got the same kind of low-key, endearing charm. And it occurred to me that while there's a ton of hormonal teenagers running around in the cast, the Coach Taylor character doesn't really have any male characters around his age to play off of (Buddy Garrity does NOT count).

My sister is an actress and I think she mentioned to me that Friday Night Lights is currently casting some principal roles (the casting agency is in Texas, I think)--someone tell Connor's agent to get off his/her butt and see if there'd be a role appropriate for him on the show.

Although, maybe it's not such a good idea since FNL's chances of survival into next season are iffy, and having to go through the pain of another premature cancellation would really suck for CT.

Oh definatley, you wouldn't want a slap-dash job of it. If the stage attracts many Shakespear fans surely TV can do the same with a quality production. We'll have to write to all the broadcasters and complain TMG....:)

It would be fantastic as long as it was a good production. Just think how many more people would be exposed to it. That sounds like something only a Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) would do over here, because no network would think it could get good ratings.

Before someone else does, I will point the Holodeck topic out on the subject of Shakespear. Why do they never do TV adaptations of Shakespear? I don't recall any in the UK, but I might be wrong.

I know Shakespear wrote for the stage as opposed to TV drama's - but wouldn't that be good if they did?

Does anyone know if he's auditioned for any movies? I can't believe such a talented actor hasn't been offered a film role before now.........or would he rather be with his family and do short tv roles instead of a long film shoot?

When Close to Home killed off Annabeth's husband in the last minute of the show last season, I had high hopes that they would bring back Eric Foster. No such luck, they hired the guy from JAG, David James Elliot to take over as a new boss for her group. They might still bring Eric back in a guest part, but I think it's a long shot.

It's a crappy show, but it would have been a job. I do want to see him do something besides Stargate Atlantis on a regular or recurring basis.

Since the new television season is starting up, I thought I'd revive this thread. If you see a new show that you think would have a part for Connor (guest or regular) let us know.

If someone on a new show is horrible and Connor would be much better for the part, let us know. I'm sure we'll agree.

Is the new tv season starting in the UK?

Nobodies posted in this thread for a while so I thought I'd revive it.

I would like to see Connor in Close to Home again. His role and his character in the series was brilliant and I hope they bring him back.

I would also like to see Connor in a big budget film. It might no be what he's looking for but, it would be healthy for his career. Maybe a love story, yeah that would be nice. :P

Grey's Anatomy, defiantly. The show is so well written and I think that Connor would be good as a doctor. He is such a glowing person and I think doctors should be like that.

I only really want to see him back in Enterprise as Trip. The character of Trip is just like me in real life - cocky, sense of humour, irrational, direct, highly strung, too soft, sincere - without a doubt, I get to see him everyday anyway. (Apparently, I berate myself too).

Ooh, theater, that's great! Only sad part about that is that that has an even lesser chance of reaching Sweden than anything on TV or in movies...

Yeah I enjoyed North Star - definately one of my favourites. It broke up the Xindi storyline a little and took us away from the Xindi Council Chamber for a while.

Makes me laugh because Archer and Hoshi said it was like visiting the Principals Office but with all those different species it was more like walking into 'Pets at Home' with Degra on checkouts.

Ooh Shakespear - now your talking! If I had a pound for every time I have seen a version of Hamlet I wouldn't be working for a living. Best one I have seen was acted outdoors. Also seen a comedy version of Hamlet too! (as you can tell Hamlet is one of my favourites).

Went to see 'The Lad Aladin' last night but it was a bit rubbish - OK but rubbish. Not the best I've seen even though it had good reviews. It was my second date so I pretended to enjoy it!

I'd either like to see him as a patient on "ER" or as a doctor.

I am going to see the 'Lad Aladin' at the York Theatre Royal tonight (with my new other half) as we both love the theatre. Got me to wondering if Connor Trinneer has ever done any stage acting. In the UK you are considered as one of the 'Elite' if you can act on stage, particularly if you have been on the telly for some time.

Gates McFadden did a great deal of stage acting and I think she is not the only Star Trek actor/actress to go into stage.

I used to go horse riding when I lived near Malton. My next door neighbour owned a horse called Polly and let me ride it. Anyway, when I came out of hospital the following weekend I swore never to mount a horse again. (thats enough about my past relationships).

Refering to North Star, (which is one of my favourite amongst others) he did look the part. As long as he doesn't star with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood I'm not bothered.

Didn't Connor say that was the first time he'd ridden a horse in North Star....didn't do too bad for a first attempt!

I thought the horse looked more uncomfortable than Trip did! Especially when Archer and Bennings where taking a 'billy-beating' underneath its hooves at the end.

No doubt Dobbin would have had something to say about that.

I agree - I am not a huge fan of the sitcom either. A Western is a good idea though. I would just love it if Connor suddenly turned up in Lost which I think is one of the best written, best acted and most character driven shows around.

Connor did do a wonderful job in Close To Home. :) And in Numb3rs, he wasn't so much a baddie as a sort of victim. I so looking forward to SGA!

Not being a fan of sit-coms, I don't think I'd like to see him starring in one (although he'd do a wonderful job!), I'm looking for him to star in a drama. Not legal .... ooooo .... maybe a western? But ya know, it seems he can't do bad work. He makes all his characters believable! :)

Oh I would love him to get another long runner - but please not a crap show. I would hate to have to endure bad writing just to watch him - and you know I would!!! Cripes I'm even going to watch an episode of Stargate because he's in it - that's loyalty!! (I have never 'got' Stargate and the few episodes I have tried to watch suffered from some of the most crass dialogue I have ever heard).

Yeah, he was excellent in that episode.

I didn't mind him being a baddie on Numb3rs, but he didn't get enough screen time!

He did such an wonderful job on Close to Home. IMO, the show is crap, so I wouldn't want him to join that cast.

His character could easily have his own show. (hint, hint Hollywood)

I'm just starting to watch Boston Legal. Get him on there and let him do some comedy.

As for what I'd like to see Connor in...Hm.
I think I'd go for either comedy or drama here. But if it is comedy, I would prefer it NOT to be a sitcom...

But some drama with a little angst thrown in, that I would enjoy. I saw the Ent-episode where you were led to believe Hoshi had been beamed into nothingness, and I really liked what he did in that one.

I know a lot of British actors and actresses bring out their own fitness dvd's whilst looking for further acting jobs. I am surprised that non of the Star Trek actors and actresses haven't.

I mean you can imagine the titles can't you, "Shape Shifting with Odo",

"Hello, I am Constable Odo and on this DVD I will be showing you how to transform yourself into inaminate objects such as a table lamp. In my second DVD next year, I will show you how to change back again."

Believe me loads of actors and actresses have made a killing out of doing them...I'm banned arn't I?
