Another Welcome zeenamist He is a fantastic actor, I so miss him seeing every week, I wish he could get another good show, or film. He could get me into everything ;)

Have to say I have been a star trek fan since "65 also. Saw one episode of Enterprise and was not impressed cause it did'nt make sense to me. Then a friend told me it was a prequel before Kirk's time. That made it make sense, so started watching. So Enterprise brought me to CT and the rest of the cast. However, Trip is my total favorite of all the cast. Best young actor I have seen in ages. He needs to have another show all his own.

I too only started to get into TNG: ENT: I only at first knew Scott. I statted watching it mid-second season. And it took me a while before I realise that I used to watch Dominic in Desmonds years back. As for the others, never seen them before. But I am stuck between Trip and Malcolm. :w00t: But then, there are worse places to be stuck in. :D

I did not become a trekkie until the year 1992 when I went to further my studies in Canada. My college-mates made me sit through 2 hours of TNG every night for 8 months and by the time I got into university, I was totally converted! My dad used to watch TOS when I was younger and he would tell me about Spock and Kirk but I had no interest then. What a waste...

The first thing that captured my interest was actually the technology. The transporter was a fascinating concept! Captain Picard was great! And earl grey is now my favorite tea. LOL!

I started watching Enterprise because it's Star Trek. I didn't know any of the cast aside from Scott Bakula. But the cast kinda grow on you after a while. I'm ashamed to say that I did not quite notice Connor until mid season 2. I've always known him as Trip Tucker but not as Connor Trinneer. I'm not sure what got my attention but I'm glad it did. :) I like intelligent guys. MacGyver was my childhood hero. I wanted to grow up to be just like him. And it's because of him that I am who I am today. :) Too bad Trip Tucker came a decade too late or I might have become an engineer. LOL!

So in short (too late *g*), Enterprise got me into Connor Trinneer. :hehe:

Miles away!:) York is filling up with tourists all the time, no matter what the weather is like. Typically, Japenese with cameras. My advice: never walk around the city walls in summer, because you'll get pushed off! Its happened to me before today, truthfully.:)

'Good old Blighty' - I like it (I'm chuckling away here). You are like me, sometimes I get to work from home, but at the moment I'm 'on assignment' until the end of May! Out of interest, where abouts in the UK are you, North, South, East or West?:)

Seems that nobody knew CT until Enterprise (which I expected from those who live outside the US). :)

There was a coupon for Season 5 in my Season 4 box. I know it didn't go longer than 6.

It was a crime that he never won an Emmy for it, but he won awards from some group for "Quality Television" year after year.

I have to watch all the ST series ever made before that... I've got the whole summer to do that, I'll be renting them all. So if I manage to finish it, maybe I'll rent that too.

If you want to see one of the best TV shows ever made, get season one and I'm sure you'll buy the others later. So far, seasons 1-4 are out on DVD. It's some of Scott's best work.

I'm very much like you.

My mother is sci-fi mad and both me and my sister got hooked at a very early age.I have loved all Star Treks, but like someone earlier said somehow because Enterprise is closer to us in the timeline the characters seem more human in there responses.

In all the other Treks the people all seem so formal in their dealings with the unknown....[to much mixing with Vulcans prehaps].

Because it was Trek i was going to watch it anyway, but i was really pleased with Scott as the captain as i have always loved him in Quantum Leap....[showing my age now]

But out of all the characters it was Trip that stood out the most, and his character seemed to grow and change the most as well.

Also he is cute....which makes Enterprise very watchable.

To be honest though, although I was glad about SB playing Archer, I initially didn't think I would like the series with it being set a century before the original series. On watching it, I soon changed my mind and I think they are the best ST cast that there has ever been. I never missed an episode.:) Like you, Scott was the only actor I knew (from Quantum Leap fame) and I though it was great when Scott got to act with Dean Stockwell again in 'Detained'. That was the best thing.:)

I watched ENT because it was Trek and I am a Trek fan. Ent was also the firts ever ST series that I watched from the beginning, having discovered that I was a Trekkie halfway through DS9. I liked the cast, although I must admit I had some misgivings about e.g., Scott Bakula as the captain, misgivings that went away immediately after watching 'Broken Bow' for the first time. Connor himself struck me in particular when watching 'Unexpected' but nothing out of the ordinary.

I became more interested in CT himself after he cancelled his appearance at a German convention which started an appalling rumour mill about his reasons for cancelling. By that time, Trip had already become one of my favourite characters ever. I simply hate stupid rumour-mongering and I decided to do some research of my own, hoping to find out something about CT that would contradict some of the things I was hearing, which was not all that difficult to do. Since then, I harbour a special place for Mr. T....

So, Enterprise acquainted me with CT but it was CT himself who got me into CT...

That cast was solid from day one. I see the first season of TNG and cringe at how disjointed the cast seemed. They didn't act like a solid unit until season two or later. That's my opinion, at least.

I started watching Ent because it was Trek, and Scott Backula was in it. I thought: Scott Backula - YES! I couldn't wait to see it. :)

During the first episode I remember thinking: Wow! :w00t: Who is this great looking guy playing the chief engineer? I was a CT fan from that moment on! He's certainly a very good actor and I try to watch whatever else he's guesting these days.

Sadly, as much as I like SB, I didn't like the Archer character very much. :(

I agree completely. I think on ENT they were a wonderful cast, even the characters which weren't so much in focus, were protrayed really good. The british Malcolm, was so convincing british to me for example. All actors were quite good, of course I love Connor the most not only because of his facial expressions, he filled his character with life.

I always thought Enterprise had the best cast/crew but whenever they have polls, it's always TOS and TNG that come top. I always wonder if it's just nostalgia and maybe in time Enterprise will be looked on as fondly as the other shows.

I liked SB as captain, yet the other day I saw a poll for who was the best captain and he came bottom! LOL. I couldn't understand that! Captain Picard, interestingly, came top!:)
