Yes that's true Q. Fedcon company has made contracts with the english company Showmasters Inc.. And Fedcon will come to UK next year. Hope you'll see the stars you like. ;)

I think Bajor Ron was saying that Fedcon is coming to the UK next year - can't wait for that. I'll definatley be attending. It would be my dream to find some of the cast of TNG there and meet more cast from Ent.:)

Yes it was really a great meeting. Next year I'll going to fedcon again. It's in Bonn in June. I'm really curious about the guestslist. It's nothing announced until yet. :rolleyes: They like to invite someone of Lost, Stargate, B5, Star Wars, Serenity/Firefly, maybe Angel/Buffy and of course Star Trek. I think next year (my 2nd Con) will be so great like this year. :)

I have a lot of to tell about the fedcon and Connor Trinneer. I met him really. On Saturday morning, before he had his Panel. Yes, a dream comes true.:D I speaked to him at the bar, he ordered something to drink (of course no alcohol). I was very nervous. And asked him, that he is collecting coins (Months ago, when I worked in my old bank, I bought a 10 Euro special coin from the european Module of the ISS, and sent it to his Autograph address, but it came return to sender). He was very surprised about this question. And I gave him the coin and showed him the notice with the facts about the coin. He said "thank you" and he asked me about my name. And then he huged me. I asked him, if I could make a photo. He said "of course". An employee made two photos, but just one was okay. He looked, if it was okay and went to his panel. It was a very special moment. And I hope, I'll never forget it.

A few hours later he made a photosession, were everyone could buy for 15 Euros a photo with him, of course I made one. But I think, he didn't remember about me. Just as, when he signed my autograph. Okay there were so many people there, but......

In his panel he showed us few pictures from his son. He's very cute. And he told us about Stargate and of course about Enterprise. And that he was very proud to die.

Okay that's it. Better late than never. I'm glad, that my Internet works again.

Wey-hey! Long time no see! Glad you are okay Nicky. Glad you enjoyed the Con!:)

I came back from the Con with a few goodies such as a T'Pol tea shirt and so on. I got a couple of autographs and photos etc. I so much enjoyed my first con.:)

Great to have you back Nicky! Sounds like you had a wonderful time at FedCon. I don't think I'll ever get to that one. The Germany/FedCon section is one of my fav. parts on Trekkies 2. It really looks like a blast. Congrats on catching Connor at the bar. I'm sure he'll treasure the coin.

I second Tripsy's description of Connor! He is so easy to talk to, still a little shy. We had a wonderful time visiting with him in Tulsa - just wish it could have been longer. It was so cold in the auditorium. When we got back to Connor table, Tripsy was shaking. Connor reached up and took her hand as he said "You really are cold." Almost lost Tripsy!

I liked Inga's note that Connor really seems to have his priorities straight. His family is by far the most important thing to him and he generously shares his family pictures with his fans.

Meeting him has to be one of the highlights of any Convention.

Hmmmm......how to describe Connor......he's the real deal. He's easy to talk to, easy on the eyes, friendly, funny, a family man. I was not nervous around him at all....he was like talking to a friend.

Sorry, that's more than one word! I just enjoyed my time with him.

I had never been to any convention before......this one was closer to me than any other one I was aware of.....so I had to try and make it. And I did! One of the best weekends of my life. Connor is wonderful.....just a great guy. I got to talk with him several times over the course of the day too.......that was nice! He may not remember me....but I certainly will never forget him.

I know this is my first time at a con, but I've noticed the Klingons tend to both attend together. Its either both or none at all with the them!

I think the 'Chekotay' character in Voyager was a bit dry, so I have to agree with you. He played it well, but there was like something missing, if you know what I mean. Yes, I bet he's great though to have a conversation with. Its a shame Kate Melgrew isn't going - I would have loved to meet her. At least Connor will be there hopefully - so there is someone interesting at the very least!

Apparently, you can get glow in the dark cond*ms and I saw some once in the gents toilets at my local swimming bath. I thought at the time it would be like wearing a light-saver. I didn't buy any though.

I wasn't too bothered before about meeting some of the guests, I just wanted to get to a convention because I have never been to one. Now I have read BR's comments, I wouldn't mind meeting Connor now, he sounds like a really nice person which counts for alot these days. I wouldn't mind meeting Robert Beltrane and Robert O'Reilly (who plays Gowron) as well. O'Reilly is the best Klingon actor ever - he does it so well.

Too old to dress up? I did not even know something like that existed! ;)

I have photos with Connor, dressed in my dress uniform, my Bajoran outfit (that is I am dressed in those, not Connor :D) etc. This time however I wanted to be in my plain clothes. We did photoshoots dressed in the Dark Jedi outfit with Christian Kane (from "Angel") and Gigi Edgley (from "Farscape") and that was a lot of fun since we gave them the light sabre to be used on us. Usually gives great pics. Maybe next time I'll do that to Connor too!

I guess we are a bit of a down-to-earth lot around here, although I must admit that that down-to-earthness sometimes drives me nuts (which is British for...let's not go there ;-)).

Anyways, I met Connor again last weekend and that was a lot of fun and a really good experience. And, what's even better: I really behaved around him this time. No stupid remarks, no questions that came out all wrong, no funny costumes. We even helped him out with some info bits and pieces during his Q&A since we were sitting right up front and were able to communicate with him while he was on stage.

Except for one instance. For Saturday night my husband and I dressed up as Dark Jedis, complete with lightsabres (the good ones that light up and make sounds. You can actually fight with them, carefully, and since we know how to sword fight, that's a lot of fun). So, dressed like that and with our light sabres ablaze, we decide to make an entrance. So I came out of the elevator, completely in my role as Emperor Palpatine (even yelling something like: "Come to the Dark Side, all of you" in what supposedly resembled Ian McDiarmid's voice) to find Connor standing there waiting to get in. :blush:.Boy, was I grateful for the giant hood over my head! He looked highly amused, though, but never recognized me....

I myself distinguish between an actor's professional time and his or her personal time. If an actor is sitting at a table selling stuff I will not hesitate to ask him or her if it's OK that I take a picture with me. But if they are just walking around somewhere, sitting at a bar or having lunch, I will absolutely not make a pest of myself, just say hello and let them do their thing. That's their personal time and I think they are entitled to it just as anyone else. More often than not acknowledgeing this leads to at least a smile of gratitude.

You need to realize that it greatly depends on the event itself if actors are allowed to take their pictures with guests. Sometimes when there are large queues the event organizations stop people posing and picturing simply because it takes up too much time.

It all depends on where you are when you ask if you can have your picture taken with him. Someone asked him while he was in the hallway going from one spot to another and he only had time to smile and keep going. At the dinner with the stars he happily posed for pictures with everyone who came up to him and talked awhile. He showed my husband and I pictures of his son and I even got a hug. Of course, I'm probably older than his mother. LOL.

Having just read all the posts on this thread i was wondering if CT was the kind of person that does not mind being asked for a photo [with who ever is asking].

He sounds a lovely chap and i can not wait to meet him, but getting a photo would be a bonus. My sister will be snapping away with her camera while i splutter and mumble at him , but is there any chance that he would pose with ........me.....? [living in hope].
