Funny how 'In search of times forgotten' becomes 'Remembrance of Things Past' in the English. I think that the English title is somehow more evocative - it's four volumes I believe - something I'll get round to one day.

I believe Connor also mentioned that he had read Longitude by Dava Sobel. He liked it because it was short and proceeded to give a pretty poor explanation of what it was about in terms of the science behind needing an accurate clock to determine longitudinal position. It is good though, I have read it. I think her next book, Galileo's Daughter is better. He also mentioned the Chronicles of Narnia.

Connor talked about this in London: he gave us an outline of its contents and then sort of apologized: "It sounds like ...well boring...but it isn't! Really cool, this book!". I have recently started with Proust's "A la recherche du temps perdu" (in Dutch) and OMG that is something else! What a wonderful descriptions, what a wonderful way to describe emotion! Beautiful! Hope that Connor reads it too, gives us something to talk about next time we meet....

Yes, Connor is very interested in history. He's said that if he didn't go into acting, he probably would have become a High School History teacher.

Hi my darling friends...Just now I'm reading " The dubliners " of James Joyce then I would like to read Kafka and also Proust's " Remembrance of things past " ......I like very much international literature, it's a relaxing reading :smooooth: :smooooth:

Hi Valentina,

I'm not sure what you're asking. If you've seen the names of three Proust books that Connor has said he'd like to receive, than perhaps the best way to get an idea of what he likes to read is to read those books.

From books we read, we can understand the quality of a person. In Connor's wish list of this year he wrote will desire to receive 3 volumes of Proust's literature....I wish to discover his enjoyment about reading for best comprise him !! :ermm:
