He was so great with the kid in Marauders. It really showed a wonderful side of Trip that we didn't get to see again.<br><br>I'd like to see him play a social worker. I used to watch "Judging Amy" where her mother, played by Tyne Daly, was a social worker in Hartford, CT. That was the most interesting part of the show to me. She would find kids in horrible situations and do what she could to help them get better lives. She was always fighting the buracratic system to do what was right for the child. It showed all sorts of situations, foster kids, adoptions, parents in desperate situations, "normal" families where there were secrets. It was very educational, however sad the situations. There were plenty of wonderful moments too.<br><br>He could be a young widower, who may or may not, have a kid of his own. That way there could be a love interest. Or of course the typical, we have great chemistry, but drive each other crazy (like with T'Pol) or she's his boss, so it wouldn't be a smart move. He would work with lots of other people, so there could be several stories going on at once.<br><br>The conflicts would come from the kids, parents, families, the office, buracratic system, tight budgets, court systems, and trying to have a personal life. We'd see him at work, at home, at court (representing the best interest of the child), in the office, in the field, and sometimes at the hospital, etc. There'd be lots of variety. <br><br>There would also have to be enough happy moments or chances to laugh (or something) to balance all of the drama. Maybe his mother or both parents live nearby, so we see that interaction. Maybe we get to see him with brothers or sisters, their spouses and kids. Erm....</P><P>I think he might be quite good in a soap opera, something serious yet with moderate humour. He would have to be a 'goody' as they say as I don't think he would make a very good 'baddy' - he hasn't got the face for it. Having said that, that's what acting is all about and making people believe you are a 'baddy'.
