Jumpcon Boston Cancelled

I post it here rather than under the appearences, because I didn't want it to be missed by anyone that saw Connor still listed as an appearing guest in the last few days on their website and planned to take the trip to Boston.

There is now a notice on the Jumpcon website that the Boston Event has been cancelled as of today (15th July). This is not the first of their planned conventions they had to cancel, the two that were supposed to have been prior to Boston were also. I'm not trying to imply anything by that - but read it as you will. If anyone wants to read the full message it's posted on the Jumpcon site, right at the top of the page.

Don't shoot the messenger, because she saw it coming a /long/ time ago.

I was watching this Skittles ad on youtube - and I swear Connor's in it! I posted the link on IMDB - but that'll take forever to be answered... So, I'll post it here.

You can see the young man I'm talking about between the seconds of 0:16 and 0:20

Yep it looks like I am going to have to suffer my way through more episodes of SGA - apparently Connor announced in Vegas over the weekend that he will going back up to Vancouver to reprise his role as Michael. This is wonderful news for all of us needing more new work from our man. I do so hope that he will staying a wraith and the writers won't be finding some naff excuse to make him human for the third time. I have been soooo impressed by his performance as the wraith and would love to see yet more.

Casting Connor

What kind of roles would you like to see Connor in? He has such an incredible range that it could be fun to suggest things, makeup stories, or picture him in past roles done by other people, for example:

I'd love to see Connor doing comedy.

"Two and a Half Men" - he could be a former wild drinking buddy of Charlie's who has since settled down, gotten married, and has recently become a father. It could be a "middle of the road" character, somewhere between Charlie and Alan. He's not as uptight and anal as Alan, but he now relates to responsibility and putting others first. He still has fun getting together with Charlie, but also looks forward to going home after a few drinks.

Remember the show "Emergency!" from the 70's? Connor would be great in the role Randolf Mantooth did of the young, single paramedic. Come to think of it, the character (Johnny Gage) was a bit like Trip Tucker - sexy, charming, caring, willing to throw himself into every risky situation, excellent at his job.

I currently like "Without a Trace" and would love to see him do a guest, or even recurring, role on that show.

Anyone else have any ideas?

My weekend at MK

I should warn you that it does contain slight spoilers for Season 4 (if you've not yet seen it) and Season 5 of Stargate: Atlantis. It was a very chilled weekend which I enjoyed a lot. The days to read are Saturday and Sunday, as Connor went home on Monday in spite of being advertised all four days, and I missed Friday because of work committments.

I see that at the top of the page, the Admin have indicated that no comments of connor's private life. Not a bad move, IMHO.

However, I attended Connor's panel at the recent Armageddon expo in Auckland and he did make several comments about family. Is it okay to repeat them here?? He had no qualms about answering personal questions at the expo.

SG Atlantis Season 3- Premiere

I thought Connor was Fantastic!!- as Michael Kenmore, in Wraith form- in the season 3 premiere of SG Altantis. He brings such incredible depth to that character- who in my opinion is by far the most interesting on SG Atlantis. Connor really makes you feel for Michael. I would LOVE to see Connor made a full time cast member of SG Atlantis!-Preferably as Michael Kenmore, in human form! There are so many levels to this character-and so many moral issues that are brought up.- Connor's portrayal of Michael- as a wraith and as a human- brings to mind his portrayal as "Sim"- in the Enterprise season 3 episode- "Similtude"- which was my favorite episode.

What are your opinions of Connor's portrayal of Michael on SG Atlantis?

Thanks to all of you for welcoming me to the message board

Did anyone notice that Connors appearance as Michael Kenmore the wraith in the season 2 episode entitled- Allies-- was quiute different from his appearance as Michael the wraith in the season 3 episodes- Misbegotten and No Mans Land?

The reason for these differences in appearance was because Brent Strait, and not Connor played Michael Kenmore the Wraith in the episode Allies- Connor supplied the voice, however.

After seeing SG Atlantis episode Miss Begotten- I really do not like the members of SG Atlantis any more. MIchael was the hero of the episode No Mans Land. He is the reason- why the Wraith ships were stopped form reaching Earth. He is the reason why Col Shepard, Ronin, McKay and every on the Daedelis - is still alive . He even drove the dam wraith ship back for Col Shepard- and how do they repay his incredibly human deed- They throw him in his old room in Atlantis under lock and key.!! Man Was I MAD! All he asked for was a ship and supplies to leave- since he didnt fit it anywhere- (I wanted to cry- when he said this to Teyla)- Then instead of trusting him with the knowledge that atlantis still exists- Ronin, acting like a neanderthal shoots him in the chest and Br Becket then shoots him up with the retro virus- against his will- They then proceed to dump him on that planet with the rest of the wraith/humans.

The Atlantians- Col Shepard, Roin, Teyla, - showed no moral fiber at all- and they are worse than the wraith in many ways. They ultimately repayed Micahel back by nuking the camp they had dumped him on. At least the wraith kill to eat and thus survive- as animals in the wild have to . The Atlantians basically murdered a bunch of wraith/human hybrids -.just so they would keep a secret.

If Michael was as bad as these Atlantians- he would have let the wraith kill Col Shepard and let the ships continue on to Earth- to do some eating.

Any opinions?

Don't know if the Admins will know. But I am sure we all hope that Connor and his family and indeed all of the cast members of our show were unaffected by the recent devastating fires in California. I think I heard Connor say in an interview that the last time he was blissfully unaware of what was happening when all his neighbours were packed and ready to leave. (I guess this makes Dominic a particular rotten neighbour!)

Just picked up my copy of Season 2. First thing I did was watch "Michael". Connor is such a great actor! He is a master of the little nuances. His expressions are priceless! I watched it again:Wow:

Last sunday morning I finally watched this Connor's episode.....He was more young and cuteee:):)....The Paul Ratcliffe role is been very human and sweet playing by him....He starred with a tenderness way that make me feel touch :kiss:

I just looked at Connor's credits over at imdb and apart from an appearance as himself in Trekkies2, I can't find any movie roles.....surely that's not true?

I can't believe such a talented actor as Connor hasn't been snapped up for movies. Has he ever mentioned auditioning for a movie role?
