Does Anyone Collect Trek Production-Related Items?

Greetings everyone!

Does anyone collect production related materials?

I work in TV production here in Los Angeles and over the last 15 years or so, I have collected boxes of the stuff while working on all the Trek shows.

I have scripts, schedules, raw footage, an in-house writers manual, photos, crew hats, and lots more odds and ends... From Enterprise, Voyager, and one thing from DS9....

I would be very happy to send a list of what I have along with photos and verification of who I am to you if you just shoot me an email at lawncow@aol.com.

Place non-perishable food items in a bag and leave it (somewhere animals and insects won't get into it) for your letter carrier. Check with your local post office if they're doing it, since many rural p.o.s do not participate, but all "city" p.o.s and facilities do.

The second Saturday of May is the day before Mother's Day! Make a reservation to take out Mom, buy some groceries (buying your Mom's groceries this week would be nice), get her a card and gift, and leave a bag of food for your letter carrier!

If you live outside the U.S., check with your postal service or city services if a similar food drive occurs near you.

I just received details for anyone interested in attending the premiere of the new Trek film in the UK. It's a charity evening organised by the Prince's Trust and tickets start at £70 (for the Screen 2 showing i.e. where the stars aren't!). The number to call to book is 0207 543 1389.

Connor for new Stargate show?

The SciFi Channel have announced a new Stargate spin-off show to be called Stargate: Universe. It'll feature a completely new cast of characters but they've said "appearances by former cast members from Stargate-SG1 and Atlantis are very possible".......so could there be a chance of Connor being in the new series, maybe as a different character?

The new show's being made by the same people who did the other Stargate shows and they know how popular Connor was in Atlantis.......and SciFi have said Enterprise repeats are a great success on the Channel and they want a known actor as star of Stargate: Universe.......so they should pick Connor! :D

Yep it looks like I am going to have to suffer my way through more episodes of SGA - apparently Connor announced in Vegas over the weekend that he will going back up to Vancouver to reprise his role as Michael. This is wonderful news for all of us needing more new work from our man. I do so hope that he will staying a wraith and the writers won't be finding some naff excuse to make him human for the third time. I have been soooo impressed by his performance as the wraith and would love to see yet more.

Okay, a couple of weeks ago, Ivon Bartok, who does the special features for Stargate, was a guest blogger in Joseph Mallozzi's blog and answered 2 of my questions, one of which was:

"Can you to a dit down interview with Connor?"

Ivon answered that he had sat Connor down the previous week, and that this interview will be on the S5 dvds.

Now, as for S5 of Atlantis - this is to be the last as the show (so far) has been cancelled; but at least 1 movie is to be made for Atlantis along with another (already announced) for SG-1

Here's my dilema. I'm attending vegas from England, and no matter what I do, because of the banking differences between the UK and the US nothing would make the creation website accept my details. Now I get here and could actually do something about it, everything is sold out. My long shot question is, is there anyone in Vegas who has tickets to the Luncheon on Friday (I'm looking for 2 tickets) that they're willing to sell. (Yeah, I know... not likely, hmm? still I had to ask). If there is some kind soul out there that can or will do that, if they could get in touch, either here, or by email (eirian phillips1 @ ntlworld.com (Obviously take out the spaces).

Jumpcon Boston Cancelled

I post it here rather than under the appearences, because I didn't want it to be missed by anyone that saw Connor still listed as an appearing guest in the last few days on their website and planned to take the trip to Boston.

There is now a notice on the Jumpcon website that the Boston Event has been cancelled as of today (15th July). This is not the first of their planned conventions they had to cancel, the two that were supposed to have been prior to Boston were also. I'm not trying to imply anything by that - but read it as you will. If anyone wants to read the full message it's posted on the Jumpcon site, right at the top of the page.

What kind of roles would you like to see Connor in? He has such an incredible range that it could be fun to suggest things, makeup stories, or picture him in past roles done by other people, for example:

I'd love to see Connor doing comedy.

"Two and a Half Men" - he could be a former wild drinking buddy of Charlie's who has since settled down, gotten married, and has recently become a father. It could be a "middle of the road" character, somewhere between Charlie and Alan. He's not as uptight and anal as Alan, but he now relates to responsibility and putting others first. He still has fun getting together with Charlie, but also looks forward to going home after a few drinks.

Remember the show "Emergency!" from the 70's? Connor would be great in the role Randolf Mantooth did of the young, single paramedic. Come to think of it, the character (Johnny Gage) was a bit like Trip Tucker - sexy, charming, caring, willing to throw himself into every risky situation, excellent at his job.

I currently like "Without a Trace" and would love to see him do a guest, or even recurring, role on that show.

Anyone else have any ideas?

My weekend at MK

I should warn you that it does contain slight spoilers for Season 4 (if you've not yet seen it) and Season 5 of Stargate: Atlantis. It was a very chilled weekend which I enjoyed a lot. The days to read are Saturday and Sunday, as Connor went home on Monday in spite of being advertised all four days, and I missed Friday because of work committments.

However, I attended Connor's panel at the recent Armageddon expo in Auckland and he did make several comments about family. Is it okay to repeat them here?? He had no qualms about answering personal questions at the expo.

SG Atlantis Season 3- Premiere

I thought Connor was Fantastic!!- as Michael Kenmore, in Wraith form- in the season 3 premiere of SG Altantis. He brings such incredible depth to that character- who in my opinion is by far the most interesting on SG Atlantis. Connor really makes you feel for Michael. I would LOVE to see Connor made a full time cast member of SG Atlantis!-Preferably as Michael Kenmore, in human form! There are so many levels to this character-and so many moral issues that are brought up.- Connor's portrayal of Michael- as a wraith and as a human- brings to mind his portrayal as "Sim"- in the Enterprise season 3 episode- "Similtude"- which was my favorite episode.

What are your opinions of Connor's portrayal of Michael on SG Atlantis?
